The Macatawa Area Coordinating typically offers unpaid internship opportunities each year. Both the Watershed and Transportation programs hire interns at various times of the year to help with specific tasks. Summer Watershed interns focus on community outreach and volunteer coordination with some office work including data entry and newsletter development. Depending on the number of interested candidates and their availability, the Watershed program may hire more than one summer intern. Fall Watershed interns focus on data entry, document publication and some community outreach activities. Summer Transportation interns focus on public outreach at community events, creating GIS maps and assisting with newsletter development and social media. The Watershed Project is seeking two interns for summer 2019.
Applications for the Summer Watershed internship are due April 5, 2019. We will schedule interviews in mid April. The summer internship position is May through August. Start and end dates are flexible.
