Goodbye and Goodluck!

The MACC is saying goodbye to Executive Director Steve Bulthuis. Steve has been with the MACC for over 22 years, making him the longest-serving employee of the organization!

Over the years, Steve has held various roles in transportation planning at the MACC and has worked on countless projects that have improved the quality and vitality of the Holland-Zeeland area.
While staff will miss him, Steve isn’t going far, he will become the new manager of Holland Charter Township, taking over for current manager, Donald Komejan who is looking forward to retirement and spending more time with family. Steve will also be back monthly to represent the township at MACC Technical Committee Meetings.
Good luck Steve!

The Holland/Zeeland Green Commute Week is now in its 11th year! The week-long event encourages members of the community to commute “green” at least twice within the week. So try walking, biking, riding the bus, or instead of driving alone, we encourage carpooling! NEW this year, we’ve also added telecommuting and driving a fully electric car! These personal actions have the ability to improve our air and strengthen our bodies!

This event is for everyone. Individuals and groups, we also have an employer commute challenge and a school competition!
