The MACC has decided to move the August 27 Green Infrastructure Seminar to a virtual event. We are currently working with our confirmed speakers to figure out the details. It is likely that the day-long event will be broken into two or more shorter sessions during the week, possibly recorded with some live discussion. We plan to finalize dates, times, topics and open registration by late June.
The seminar theme is changing this year and we are dropping the Making the Case for Green Infrastructure title hoping that we have already made the case! This year’s theme is Planning Green Stormwater Infrastructure in a Changing World. This relates to both changing weather and climate as well as changing regulations. Current planned topics include climate change impacts on GSI design, integrating climate and regulatory resiliency into GSI designs, operation and maintenance planning, case studies of projects designed under revised design rules, and a panel discussion of community resiliency planning.
