Water Bug Sampling – Citizen Science!

October 16, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Help us study our watershed and have fun while you’re doing it! We will catch invertebrate animals from local streams and identify them. The animals have varying tolerance to pollution, and what we finds helps us gauge the health of the stream. We do this twice a year and the data is collected to see if our streams are improving. We will meet at Adams Street Landing, form teams and carpool to several other locations.

Ages 10 and up only; minors must be accompanied by an adult. We will provide all of the materials needed. Dress for the weather and to get wet. no experience necessary. We will contact you if we need to cancel due to inclement weather or unsafe river conditions.

Registration required to kgoward@the-macc.org. Include ages of anyone under 18 and provide names of all persons attending. Be sure to include a phone number or let us know the best way to get a hold of you if we need to cancel.
